Nicola Hawkins, LAC

Nicola approaches her work from a central belief that each person has value and is worthy of dignity. She leans towards a client-centered approach, using emotion focus and attachment as key elements to weave together the fabric of her time together with those she works with.

She has specific training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy for couples and continues to seek growth in this area, as well as apply it working with women and family issues and concerns. Having experienced working with couples, individuals and teens since 2021, she’s open to meeting people in their unique stages of development.

Cross-cultural adoption, and third culture concerns are passions of Nicola. Having lived multiculturally, including issues of immigration, she is aware of the unique intricacies of dealing with the concerns that come into view.

She believes in paying attention to one’s whole sense of self—body, spirituality, family and community—as these all have informed the belief of how you are to be. In joining you in your process, she encourages you to know that awareness helps to shine light on your next decision/direction.

Curious at heart, Nicola enjoys new ideas, things and experiences.
